Outdoor Learning

At Field Lane we aim to:

• Promote outdoor learning as a medium that all subjects can be taught through
• Provide a safe and secure environment where children can take risks
• Encourage children to care for their environment as they spend more time in it
• Enable children to learn by working on a larger, more active scale than is possible indoors
• Use playtimes and lunchtimes as learning times
• Encourage close links with parents and the school in celebrating our outdoor space and the rich learning that can take place within it
